The actual missions for the warlord, since I looked them up, don't seem too tough: I have to fight other survivors, but I've gotten decently okay at that. I need to get a pile more building materials so that when it's time for the endgame I can tear down my indoor sleeping area and replace it with a fighting gym, tear down the staging area and replace it with either a lounge (if I still only have five people) or a barracks (if I have more), and then be willing to pay the daily maintenance cost.

The final large space, I built a staging area to reduce my maintenance cost to zero materials, because the game has been pretty stingy with materials this time around. And I've got an infirmary and workshop in my two outdoor small spaces.

Plus it has an armory that lets me produce police ammunition and throwables, which is less impressive now that I built the armory (though since I don't have anyone with engineering skill I can't produce the gun attachments, and I need to get a power source because I can't produce all the explosives without power). My rural police station has a built in lookout platform (which serves as a two-person watchtower), high walls (which aren't something I can build, but they reduce the number of zombies that can get over the wall, so that lookout platform turns my parking lot into a killing field, cells that I upgraded so they sleep four with no penalty, and I also built an indoor sleeping area and upgraded it, so I can sleep three more (meaning I can recruit two more people before I have to start worrying about space).

(I'd kinda like to upgrade to the baseball field, but I think it might be unnecessary on this playthrough, plus I'd need to get a bunch more influence and three more survivors.) Right now, I've got five people in my party (had six, again, RIP Gary/Greg), so I can't upgrade to a bigger homestead yet. None of these are bad, but the Armory is God-tier and the Trading Post is also quite nice, especially if you want to try and set up a long-haul self-sustaining community just to see how long you can make it last.Д¬lick to expand.I know that to complete the Warlord path I'll eventually need to build and upgrade a fighting gym. The Trader gets the Trading Post, which allows you to summon Traders to your base, can build a Farm 3 (large slot, provides more food than a Garden and can be boosted in all the ways a Garden can), and can upgrade a Still so you can use it to make whiskey, which dovetails very nicely with the ability to summon Traders to your base.

The Builder gets a Sniper Tower (work as a Watchtower, providing a threat reduction with no ammo cost, and allows you to radio for Sniper Cover when you're out in the field), Luxury Barracks (provides 5 beds and a Morale boost), and the ability to upgrade a generator to only cost 1 fuel/day and produce no noise The Warlord gets the Armory (which allows you to produce any ammo type, as well as explosives and Professional-quality muzzle attachments), Spartan Barracks (provides 8 beds but with a morale penalty), and the ability to upgrade your Fighting Gym to Level 2. The Sheriff gets a Field Hospital (equivalent to Infirmary Level 3 and has the ability to remove infection or heal injuries of all your survivors at once), can upgrade a Lounge to Level 3 (everyone else is limited to Lounge Level 2), and the ability to upgrade a Shooting Range to Level 2.

Warlord's is probably my least favorite and Builder's free water and power is GOAT.Д®ach Leader type also has some unique structures that are unique to their legacy, which you can build while they're the Leader (and even if they get killed or deposed, it still stays). Ditto the Trader's big cash drop and friendly salesman.

Warlord's weapon drop is a great early boost, especially if you didn't bring any heroes from your last playthrough. None of the benefits are bad the Sheriff one is pretty low-key, just every time the clock ticks another day you get a message telling what just got dropped in your inventory, but it's quite good to get random ammo and to never have to make your own Snacks.
